When Does MTD for Income Tax Apply?
MTD for Income Tax is being introduced in stages. The thresholds generally relate to combined gross income from self-employment and property, before expenses.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to learn how to do bookkeeping?
No. Under this package, ARC categorises your transactions and maintains your bookkeeping records. You still need to provide complete invoices, receipts and accurate information when requested.
Is Xero included in the £99?
No. You pay for your Xero subscription separately. We'll help you identify a suitable plan for your requirements.
What if I have more than 30 transactions?
We'll review your transaction volumes and discuss an appropriate service package. Any revised fee will be agreed with you in advance.
Are quarterly updates the same as four tax returns?
No. Quarterly MTD updates report income and expense information. Your annual Income Tax return is prepared separately and completes your annual tax reporting.
Do I need a separate business bank account?
For this package, yes. A dedicated business bank account helps keep bookkeeping straightforward and supports efficient reconciliations.
When will my annual tax return be submitted?
We'll prepare and submit your return by the applicable statutory deadline, provided all required information is supplied in good time.
